Just amazing what people do with games to put a fresh coat of paint on them and give you a new experience.

Yeah I unfortunately added in the new battle sounds or whatever and I'm not sure I enjoy them. Too lazy to remove them but yeah the few mods that I enjoy I enjoy quite a lot. I just wish the mods were more coherent. They are all over the place in many cases. Ended up with the better chibi characters with only cloud being a completely different model.

Do the backgrounds look good and not blurred/pixelated with mods? Or if possible could I get some combat pics?

The backgrounds I've seen thus far are most definitely an improvement over what it is originally. It's not like they're scaled to HD resolutions, it's not possible. But they are definitely improved.

The combat screens that I've seen so far are amazing. They look great.

True but anyone reading this needs to check their expectations. It still looks dated as all heck. The backgrounds are just put through some filters which helps remove the jaggies but they end up blurry for the most part. Still much better than default imo but its not like its going to look like a modern games. The upgraded the textures in the battle scenes and a few of the bosses as well as character models are vastly improved.

Its worth modding for sure if you don't care about the 'new' features like achievements and cloud saving.
