Is it my specs/graphics card or is it BF4 beta that is making it horrible 2 play

The beta is a mess right now.

I've tried both the lowest resolution and settings and highest, the game still performs the same, around 20-40 FPS.

And what is your cpu? Because I can almost guarantee that that is your issue.

And I can guarantee you that it's not

And again, what is your cpu? It's performing exactly as if the cpu were bottlenecking your gpu. You do realize when changing settings from max to minimum and seeing no change in fps is pretty much exclusively an effect of your cpu not being able to supply information fast enough for the gpu.

It's an i7 3970x. Reason I haven't bragged about it is because I was very lucky and won it back in december last year, but people would just laugh at me if I mention what GPU I currently use.
There just isn't any game I think warrants a GPU upgrade yet;)

Lots of people have the same issues, I've seen that both on forums and the chat in-game.

Ok, now that is odd. I wasn't trying to be condescending either just most of the people who have had bad performance on other forums I visit have had lower end cpu's. What is your gpu if you don't mind me asking because I never drop below 80fps for the most part with my setup at max with 2xmsaa at 2560x1440.

Are you running windows 7? As a number of people have made claims that performance is pretty poor on their machine on 7 and performs much closer to where it should on 8. I haven't taken the time to test it out myself but I have seen it claimed enough by people who tend to know what they are talking about so I think there could be some validity to it.

It's an unplayable mess for me (like 15 fps). 6300 oc'd to 4ghz and a 2gb 760. I installed the beta drivers before I played it though and I've heard a lot of people doing better with the older drivers. I rolled back but I haven't tried it again.

I'm having random drops in the beta too, 4.5ghz 3570K/ GTX770 with a decent oc profile.

I notice there are different names for the same graphics card. Why do they do that? Also does everyone agree I should get the GTX 770 4 gig? And are all my computer parts ok with the 770?

3.3Ghz Intel Core i5-2500K 6MB Cache Quad-Core

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm

GIGABYTE GA-Z68P-DS3 (Intel Z68, HDMI, DVI, 2xPCI-E,6xSATA, 4xDDR3)

8GB (4GBx2) Corsair Vengeance 12800 DDR3 1600Mhz

1GB GeForce GTX 560Ti GDDR5

600watt Corsair CMPSU-600CX V2

Here's what I'm talking about with the different names for what looks like the same thing

Ok, now that is odd.

No, it's not. It's a beta. There are thousands of reports of newer gen i5s, i7s, and AMD 8 core FX's getting abysmal FPS.

But you're right, because your CPU doesn't have a problem (guess what, other people are fine too!), everyone else who has poor performance has a crappy CPU. Despite the thousands of reports and complaints, we should just take your anecdotal evidence as proof.
