Good, sorta cheap laptops for gaming?

#1RedRiolu447Posted 10/5/2013 7:31:38 AM
I've never had a laptop/computer that's able to run good games, and there's a lot of PC games that I want to play, but can't because my laptop sucks.

I want to get a laptop that can play games, maybe not the newest, but I was looking to get ME1/2, Guild Wars, The Witcher and maybe Diablo.

However, I can't spend that much on it, and I would have to max out at around 600. I've read something about a Toshiba L55-A5278, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyways, could you guys recommend any laptops that fit my criteria? If there's no gaming ones that are =<600, could normal ones play those games, or at least some?

Thanks.

Laptops usually don't have good processing power because processing power eats up the battery. I think any laptop with a Haswell cpu and HD 5000 graphics will suit your needs.

Put a i5 cpu, 8 gb of ram and a 750m gpu and you have something that can play most games pretty well ( You're not gonna max everything on ultra though)

Hell now TC. My laptop (in sig) cost me 499 thanks to www.very.co.uk having a sale. Good priced laptop and would easily (and have tried) play all those games at medium to high (bar GW2)

Seriously AMD APUs are the best value for money at that price range.

Get looking TC!

Not too familiar on uk pricing but using notebookcheck.net is great if you want to know about how good something will be for gaming. Just search the gpu and they usually have a bunch of benchmarks for different games telling you what to expect.

For example here's the benchmarks for the laptop specs you listed.

Is there a way to increase RAM? 'Cause I found one I think is good, but there's only 4GB of RAM.

Okay, last question. Is Intel Core i5-3210M better than/as good as Intel or AMD Quad Core? I seriously have no idea.

If it is, I found a laptop to buy.
