okay y'know what screw chemistry

I was thinking of metal/nonmetal binary compounds, where one is supposed to ascertain the amount of the nonmetal atoms using the charge on the metal atoms, instead of chemistry just functioning in an efficient way and naming the goddamn things by the amount of bloody atoms they involve.
