Yeah he's really awesome. Pretty funny when he gets causes an admin to rage ban him.

I'd also recommend levelcap

Some of the guys with the more popular channels are not really that good. Though obviously, some are.

But to have a good channel with worthwhile gameplay footage you need to know what you are doing, but you do not need to be some kind of FPS god. You will learn more from the guy discussing different weapons and tactics to use than the guy with the twitch reflexes who instantly headshots anyone within his field of view in 0.2 seconds and whose tactics do not really apply to "normal" people.

Overall though, I think the reason why people are skeptical and the general level of skill is underwhelming is because Battlefield does not really have a competitive scene. If you compare this to Counterstike for example, fans of that game can probably give you 10 amazing players from the top of their heads, even including players that were popular in the past but have since stopped playing. You probably will not find battlefield players with a similar skill level simply because there are no players who are that devoted to the game, since it is not take seriously as an e-sport. There is no one out there playing Battlefield 3 for a living.

Oh there are plenty of players with that skill level in any community, there's nothing particularly special about the best CS players other than they're high profile.
