ITT: Genres you HATE that everybody likes ... and vice versa

I dislike RTS (I'll muck about in them in easy bot matches, but I suck at them against players)
Never play MOBAs, closest I play is Awesomenauts (which I do like quite a lot)
I hate multiplayer shooters with regenerating hp (COD, BF etc) prefer to have a health bar of some kind (L4d2, Tf2 etc) I don't mind it in single player though.

I've never been good at FPS, I only wish play them when I'm with my equally crappy friends in FPS. Which is also why I never did get into COD or Battlefield (even during the times they were 'good').

I love TBS games, the ROTK series, Nobunaga, etc. Basically, any turn-based strategic/tactical type of games have a place in my gaming heart, regardless if they're crappy or not. At the very least I will give them a fair chance before I scrap them.

-Don't like most FPS because you either move too slowly, have dumb AI teammates, or have to hide behind crates 90% of the time. I do like things like Doom and UT2004 where it's quick run-and-gun.

-Don't like MMOs. I don't like other players in my games, and MMOs are loaded with them. Ick.

-Don't like third-person action games. The camera often gets messed up, the controls are never to my liking, and the gameplay is either loaded with QTEs or dumb puzzles that get in the way of the action. Leave the puzzles to Myst or something.

The only genre I can get close to "hating" is MMORPG... I like to buy my games one time and then play them when I feel like it for as long as I feel like it.... MMORPG's are like buying the game again every month, and if I decide I don't want to play it for a while, then that's like flushing money down the toilet. The last MMORPG I paid for was a 3 month subscription to City of Heroes/Villains and after less than 1 month I was bored out of my mind and felt mad at myself for getting the 3 month subscription.

I should have known better but I had some friends into the game and they kept saying it would be more fun with friends...

Really though, any genre could have the perfect game and I might like it... just in general I dislike MMORPGS

Although I don't hate them, I really have no interest in MMORPG's. I don't know why either. I just don't like them.

My favorite genre are platformers. Despite how complex and graphically amazing newer games are, I always find myself going back and really enjoying playing my Genesis and NES platforming games.

MOBAs and MMORPGS
Both treadmills with no grand finale. I like having an achievable completion goal. Most competitive MP doesn't interest me for that reason.

Really quite enjoy JRPG's (of old) and racing games.

I guess we have the same taste. I used to play MMO in the past but after experiencing that feeling i made myself to quit the game.

MMORPGs. Like, I just don't see the appeal. It's just doing repetitive things so you can reach another level so you can do more repetitive things. Even the more FPS style ones like Firefall are boring to me.
