so he has a wd passport, and he said the platter inside has stopped spinning. he wants to know what he can do about it.
he has looked online at youtube and such about fixing hardrives- and there are videos there about how to take them apart- but he said there are no screws for disassembly; everything is welded to the pcb or whatever.

take it to a pro who can rebuild it into another harddrive, pay hundreds of dollars --- ^ this
