Serious answer: There isn't one. Companies that used to be my favorites are now either out of business, have become mediocre over time, or have been purchased by EA.

Raven Software, though they have semi-left us for the toyboxes.
Same deal with Remedy.
Monolith, though they haven't made much lately, I've loved almost all their games.
Same deal with NovaLogic.
Telltale, if they'd make another Sam and Max... ever.
I am not economically viable.
