Star Wars Empire at War. An excellent RTS, it's quite a few years old. Not as good as warcraft 3 or starcraft 2 though, but if you like Star Wars, it's definitely worth playing.

10mbs or w/e. Why? When we didn't have a usage cap, verizon's speed was like dial up speed.

CoD2, COD4 and WaW all have their communities and BF2 is still around. For that matter grab BF1942 for free on Origin and play it. Counterstrike will probably never die either given how devoted the following for 1.6 is.
