Will I not be able to run Watch Dogs on a 4870?

#1RichGamebuddyPosted 10/7/2013 7:52:26 PM
It looks like Watch Dogs will only be able to run on DX11 cards, which does not include the 4870. I can run Crysis, Skyrim, and the Witcher 2 at high settings at 1920x1200, but will I not be able to run Watch Dogs due to the DX11 requirement?

Dude, your card is old and was mid range 4 years ago. What did you expect?

The 4870 was AMD's high end card at the time. It's got the power to run the game, at least.

I've had the card for 4 and a half years and it's been able to run everything on at least high at 1900x1200. I was expecting at least another year out of it.

Their high end card was comparable to the GTX 460....so my statement stands.

How the hell can you run the Witcher 2 on high and get decent FPS? I got a 6950 and get like 40FPS on high

Idk, I turned off some motion blur because that s*** was annoying. I've played through twice with good FPS.

I got the card in February of 2009, back when the high end cards were the 4870 and 280 and the top of the line were the 4870x2 and 295.
