Is AC3 well optimized?

No? It actually runs like crap.

Your system is fine for it though.

As others in this topic well tell you though, it's a pretty bad game tho. One of the worst I've played in recent years.

Worked fine on my 6770 1GB and Phenom x6 1055T.

I played it a few months after release.

I wouldn't say it's well optimized at all. My rig got about 45-55 frames in Boston, with a GTX 670FTW and 3770k @ 4.6GHz.

As far as the actual game goes, I quite enjoyed it. It has the best combat of the series, and I'm huge fan of the era. It is really slow to get going though. Like 6 to 8 hours just to begin playing as Connor, and another 4 to 5 for the world to open up.

Well if it isn't fat stinking billygoat Billyboy in poison. How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap stinking chip-oil?

Also, if you're like me, with zero familiarity of American history, then it can be a little boring to get into.

You can tell a lot about a person based on how they treat the weaker members of society.

I'm just messing around. I live in Canada, from Hong Kong. I know some bits of the American Revolution, particularly things that pertain directly to Canada's history, but beyond that, not really.
