Computer Building Help

#1gamer19993Posted 10/9/2013 10:41:45 AM
Hey there! I am looking for a powerful gaming pc build with 5.1 speaker system capability. I have about 1500 dollars to spend. HDMI would be nice to. Does anyone have any suggestions?

No.

TC, are you new to the whole of PC building, or do you know what parts do what, etc, etc?

Does that mean you want it to simply have an output that supports 5.1, or do you want a 5.1 speaker set included in the $1500?

I know what basic parts do, like motherboard, graphics card etc. I have never actually built my own computer, but I think I could do it. I need the computer to support 5.1 surround sound. I already have speakers. =]

Do you need a monitor, Windows, mouse, and keyboard included?

$1493 for that one. I was kind of just guessing since you didn't give a lot of specifics.

That sound card has a 5.1 output with optical and sounds nicer than motherboard sound. You might even be able to get audio over HDMI from the video card, although I've never tried that.

It's not so much a matter of being able to find them on your own, anybody can do that, but the question is whether you will need to buy them within your $1500 budget, or if those $1500 are just for the computer, and Windows, a monitor, a keyboard, etc. will be bought on top if you need them.
Anyway, here's a suggested build without those items, just the tower: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1MRzd
