This is the first time in quite some time that the top AMD card will have more ROPs than the top Nvidia card no?

If you have the money for the 290X, I'm pretty sure you can afford at least a nice 1440p IPS Korean monitor.

I like their slide that says the 290x has twice the ROPs because 4k is twice the pixels. Marketing people can't math.
Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.

720p was the console standard this gen and every gpu out since 2008 has been overkill for that.

1080p is going to be the alleged console standard this year (with a lot of 720p30fps thrown in by lazy publishers who don't want to spend money on diminishing returns) so this card seems like it will start the push straight on up to the 4k standard in 2-3 years for Pc Gaming.

I hope its not the usual stutter fest from AMD.

But more importantly, hopefully this make nVidia pick up the slack and build better cards. The 700 series was very disappointing. Maybe the 800 series will be better.
