I was looking at these, but they haven't been in stock on that website in months. Every where I look, those are usually $250 or more, and usually from Australia or Malaysia, so shipping would probably be insane. I have a Xonar Essence STX, so I'd prefer to run them off that if possible.
Hey, Im buying new speakers today actually for my PC since the monitor ones are rubbish. I wanted something with a remote to control volume and this, surprisingly has great reviews. Going to pick it up after work today.
I picked up a pair of Emotiva Airmotiv 4s during Emotiva's recent warehouse sale. They sound excellent. They were about $80 more than the speakers you were looking at though. If you can't find anything decent, you can always opt for passives + an amp.

I haven't personally used them, but before I bought the T40's I spent a ton of time researching reviews to narrow down my choice. Everyone who reviewed these loved them and raved about the deep bass and accurate representation of the mids and highs. I would have bought these but they were more than I wanted to spend, and I can't take advantage of the bass in my apartment anyway.
