Also built my buddies PC last night and it was a breeze like you all said thanks for all the advice. But now im trying to build my own on a slightly stiffer budget. This is what I have so far http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
All im really looking to do is have a good pc to start with. I plan on ugrading video card and adding ram probably in the next year or so but I want this to be fine to play the games out now.
I know I wont but able to run BF4 on max settings but I still want a good experience. Will this provide that ? Also 2 parts I would like to avoid replacing in the new futre ( around 2 years or so hopefully ) is the cpu and motherboard. Will these be sufficient? are there any other cheaper recommendations that will be able meet my goals ? Just tryign to get the best bang for my buck .
I hear people from both sides of the fence as far as intel vs amd goes. I have no bias so any advice would be appreciated
Not bad overall, but you can get a 7950 for not much more and it wipes the floor with the 660. Also, do you plan to overclock at some point? Because the CPU/mobo you got are meant for OCing. --- http://i.imgur.com/ULj4q.jpg Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended.
Well i might overclock once i have some extra cash to splurge on an aftermarket cpu cooler ... im really just trying to see if anyoen has any suggestions to maybe cut some costs for example is there a cpu or motherboard than i can get that will last for a year or 2 for cheaper but still be comparable performance wise ? --- The Dude abides.
A few dollars cheaper. This build won't overclock, but if you're just looking for something to last a year or two, it might fit the bill. --- Intel i5 4670K | Corsair 16GB DDR3 | Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB | ASUS 27" 1440p Corsair 480GB SSD | WD 4TB HDD | Fractal Design R4 | Corsair 750MX | Win7Ult 64
