You should look at the customer reviews. Specifically the 3 star and 4 star ones, since they usually give the best indicators of the good AND the bad rather than 10/10 perfect or 1/10 I got a faulty one in the mail.
But like the above poster said, I bought an Asus monitor for myself and a friend and both have had zero issues. --- Russian is my first language, so yes there may be a spelling error or two. Kirino is best girl.
Right, I read that the pb was semi glossy but I've never seen one before. I love the glossy look so I don't want to lose it, but is there a huge loss of sheen? --- i5-3570k 3.4ghz | HiS 7950 BOOST 3GB | OCZ 256GB SSD / 18 GB RAM | 2 TB Barracuda | 750GB Hitachi | P8B75-V | Blackwidow Ultimate Wii U, PS3, 3DS PC | GameFAQS
I've never seen a glossy monitor so I don't know what to compare it to. You can't see yourself in it like a mirror. There is not much glare even with a window right behind me. --- Intel i5 4670K | Corsair 16GB DDR3 | Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB | ASUS 27" 1440p Corsair 480GB SSD | WD 4TB HDD | Fractal Design R4 | Corsair 750MX | Win7Ult 64
I've calibrated with Disney's WOW blu-ray and can confirm that these are the most accurate settings. --- Intel i5 4670K | Corsair 16GB DDR3 | Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB | ASUS 27" 1440p Corsair 480GB SSD | WD 4TB HDD | Fractal Design R4 | Corsair 750MX | Win7Ult 64
I've been happier with my Acer monitors in the past vs Asus. Both are good, but I just feel like I get the better monitor for my dollar with Acer.
That looks to be the case with the two you posted. I'd go with the Acer. You're getting higher brightness, IPS, USB. It has the bells and whistles for the same price. Looks to me like with the Asus, you're just paying for the more popular brand. --- Don't lie to someone who trusts you. Don't trust someone who lies to you.
