Which of these would be better, I only want one of them and I'd prefer the glossiest. Any help guys/gals?

You should look at the customer reviews. Specifically the 3 star and 4 star ones, since they usually give the best indicators of the good AND the bad rather than 10/10 perfect or 1/10 I got a faulty one in the mail.

But like the above poster said, I bought an Asus monitor for myself and a friend and both have had zero issues.

PB278Q owner here. Yeah, I'm biased.

However, it's not glossy. It's semi-glossy.

Right, I read that the pb was semi glossy but I've never seen one before. I love the glossy look so I don't want to lose it, but is there a huge loss of sheen?

I've never seen a glossy monitor so I don't know what to compare it to. You can't see yourself in it like a mirror. There is not much glare even with a window right behind me.

Looks phenomenal to me. I edit photos frequently, and it looks great once you tweak the stock settings a bit.

The best settings are located here in the first post:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1311936/asus-pb278q-the-official-2560x1440-semi-glossy-pls-thread

I've calibrated with Disney's WOW blu-ray and can confirm that these are the most accurate settings.

From what I can gather, the Acer monitor is semi-glossy as well so that's a relatively moot point.

I've been happier with my Acer monitors in the past vs Asus. Both are good, but I just feel like I get the better monitor for my dollar with Acer.

That looks to be the case with the two you posted. I'd go with the Acer. You're getting higher brightness, IPS, USB. It has the bells and whistles for the same price. Looks to me like with the Asus, you're just paying for the more popular brand.
