Any way to have custom animated desktop backgrounds?

#1MyExtraAccountPosted 10/10/2013 6:30:50 PM
I have Windows 8.

I can't seem to find anything that let's me achieve this. I've done this before with XP a long long time ago, I thought it'd be much more popular now.

Does anybody have a method of getting a custom animated desktop background?

No, it takes up processing power just to idle.

Anyway, you're looking for Dreamscene.

Does it take up a lot of processing power? About 6 years ago I had one running on XP and nothing was slowed down. I remember uninstalling it because none of the animated wallpapers looked good on my screens resolution.

Anyway, I have just tried Dreamscene and I can't get it to work. It doesn't say that it works for Windows 8, and the Windows 7 compatibility doesn't seem to work with it.

Okay, so I found something called Deskscapes 8. It works beautifully.

The only problem I have is...I can't find any 1600x900 gifs to use for my screen lol
