I want to purchase a better 24-27 inch gaming monitor. Is there one?

Acer P243WAid Black-Silver 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 400 cd/m2 3000:1 ACM

1920x1200 and 2ms response time seems hard to beat.

I think those response times are mostly gimmicks.

You can buy a $500 console and a $500 computer and have two crap machines, or you can spend $1000 building your own computer and have the best of both worlds.

If you have $300 to throw around, why not get a Korean IPS monitor, the Qnix LED Evolution IIs overclock to 120hz and are 1440p, and are IPS panels with amazing colours. That's good value and too good to be true if you ask me. But I can't dispute it as I'm on one right now.

If you have a big budget get this 29 inch.

It has a 21:9 2560 x 1080 resolution and it has a built in TV tuner so you can watch TV

This one is a downgrade due to its same size and inferior aspect ratio.

This one seems cheap and like it might not be that good. But maybe.

This seems awfully proprietary and I'm not sure how future-proof such an aspect ratio is. It's interesting and different, but I'm not sure if it's a straight upgrade. I could possibly go with this one.
