GOG is truly amazing.

I have over 500 games on Steam. To say I'm a fanboy would be an understatement. A year or so ago I found out about GOG and started getting newsletters that sent me to pages like this:

Don't be scared off by the "EA" part. Trust me.

How can you compete with that? They have specials like this so often it puts even Steam to shame. I guess their thing is that they focus on old Windows and DOS games which Steam is a bit more reluctant to feature for whatever reason. I was born in '86 and experienced the glory days of PC gaming first-hand, so this site frequently bombards me with nostalgia while simultaneously providing me with the means to very cheaply PURCHASE those nostalgia bombs.

I'm nearly up to a hundred games on GOG, now. I really want more people to find out about this place.

From the EA list?

Alpha Centauri
Theme Hospital
Dungeon Keeper series
Wing Commander 3 and 4
Ultima 7 or 4+5+6

You can make arguments for even more games as well.

I'd say Alpha Centauri or the Ultima games.

You also get The Witcher Enhanced Edition with any purchase till the 17th.

Yeah, I like GoG but I'm disappointed at the slow trickle of classic releases lately, they seem to be releasing far more independent and newer titles lately and very few older DOS/Windows games. I kind of feel like they are losing their identity it's "Good Old Games" after all.
