Just installed Windows 8 and I'm wondering if I should renew my AVG Internet Security.

Don't bother with AVG and just use MSE and don't do anything stupid and you should be good to go.

Is MSE Downloaded separately or is it already integrated into windows 8?

Like anything, people will have varying opinions.

I have not used any type of internet security since I was like 16 (I'm 33,) and I've never had 1 single problem.

1) Internet security will ASSIST in keeping you safe
2) Internet security is not a GUARANTEE that you will be safe
3) Your brain is a better internet security program than anything you can buy

Windows Defender in Windows 8 is basically MSE. You don't have to download it. It should also be turned on by default, if no other AV is installed.
