I want to get this game for me and my friend, he lives in another region, I'm wondering if coop is good enough, also should I get this one or off the record??

Don't Run 2? Donnie Rips 2? Dumb Response 2?

Why does everyone always assume people know what every abbreviation in the world is? I can't communicate to people these days. I miss English.

If you dont know what DR2 stands for, what exactly are the chances you'll be able to help him?

Also most of my friends claims Off the Record is the better one. but at $2.50 more you might as well get the collection.

as for co-op, it's alright i guess

Dead Rising 2 is really fun co-op. What's cool about the game is that it's structured for just screwing around. It's impossible to do all story tasks in one play-through due to the time limit, so what basically happens is that you and your friend will just spend the whole game running around getting into shenanigans. You might run into a boss, find some survivors, some wacky weapons, clothes, etc.

It's great for co-op because it has this perfect balance of screwing around and getting stuff done. It's not a game where you need to sit down and make super serious strategies to get to the next level, and it's not a game where you just do stupid things until you get bored. It's somewhere in between. I'd definitely recommend getting it in the steam sale.

Just get Off the Record, it's basically the same game with more content you're just playing it from Frank West's (The original protagonist) perspective. The addition of photography and especially the sandbox mode make it a far better game.

As a huge Dead Rising fan, Off the Record is the much, much better game. It takes all of the little annoying things about 2 and does away with them, it's everything DR2 should have been.
