GPU Upgrade from GTX 570

#1godfather_1Posted 10/16/2013 4:58:18 AM
I am looking to max-out the next generation of games on my PC and have heard based on my PC specs below that the GPU is the main problem. I am looking for suggestions on possible upgrades from the GTX 570 nVidia or AMD.

I am not looking for an expensive one like the Titan, something around the 200-300.

PC Specification -

CPU: Intel i7-2600 3.40GHz
GPU: GTX 570 1GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Hard-Drive: 2TB
Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Do you want to stick with NVIDIA? If so, check this card out: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43768kr

If not, here's an AMD one: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-111971240g

I bought a 7970 upgrading from a 570 and it is amazing. I highly recommend it!

I went with the Sapphire Dual-X 7970.

Nope either nVidia or AMD will be fine. I am starting to think more AMD since the PS4 and X1 are using from same manufacturer.

You will not be disappointed if you go the AMD route. I can guarantee it!

I've heard positives about both manufacturers, however I just recently bought the nVidia card that is linked, I should be getting it today, and I'll be sure to let you know how it performs!

BF3 I get 60+ FPS on Auto settings (16x AA, everything set to basically max). I did have vertical sync on though, so I only saw 60.

BF4 beta I was getting anywhere from 53-80 on high/ultra settings.

Euro Truck Sim 2 with 300% scaling I was getting 50+ FPS at all times.

I love my Sapphire 7970 so far :D
