I have a old 2005 PC that the monitor (square shaped) died. The sound came out of the monitor.
So I went to buy new widescreen monitor, installed it and its working perfectly, tried to listen to musics and heard no sound, so I check the volume buttons and I realized there no volume buttons or options at all.
Is my only option left is to buy separate speakers? The monitor doesn't even have something for headphones to plug, so where I plug them? --- http://i.imgur.com/SJthnOx.gif
Just buy seperate speakers. You can get some decent one for cheap. Got Logitech Z323 connected to my screen. The sound is good enough for games and decent enough for music. Haven't tried movies yet. --- | Mobo: Asus P8Z68-V Pro | CPU: Intel i5 2500k | GPU: Asus DirectCU II OC GTX 680 | RAM: 8 GB | I know that the motherboard is a bottleneck.
One day, a couple years after owning my current monitors, I heard music playing. I'm not sure how - as I certainly don't have it set up to do so - but it was playing through my monitor speakers. This was the first time I realized my monitors had built in speakers and also the only time I ever used them.
