Windows 8 file search function

I was just wondering if they improved it or went back to the uber useful windows XP way of searching for files over the crappy way it was implemented in windows 7.

I was just sitting here looking for something on my windows 7 machine and was reminiscing to how easy it was in XP days.

You can search by either typing in the start menu or from the top right of explorer windows. This searches all subfolders of the current folder. By default the explorer search only looks in indexed locations, but that can be expanded by hitting Search tools > Advanced options. It's basically like this for 7, sounds like you were making it harder than it needs to be.

So you like your search being clunky and slow? People find the weirdest things to whine about...

Why did the search go backwards? in XP you don't have to type all of that crap in.
