Woah, i just checked my Steam-library. A year ago i bought the vanilla-version of Arkham City since the GOTY-edition wasn't out yet, now i have an entry for both vanilla and GOTY-edition on Steam. Guess that is their apology for using GFWL in the first place

Alright I got a reply back from WB:
Please send in a screenshot of the error message that you receive in steam and we should be able to replace your key for you.

I sent them an assload of screenshots from both GFWL and steam. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. --- http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/5392/picture002wmc.jpg steamcommunity.com/id/Armatoste/

The Dubba-Dubba-Dubba-Dubba-Dubba-U-Bee came through!
I got my Batman:AA steam code by email and now it sits happily on my steam library. Now I can finally uninstall the GFWL client forever. Though it's still attached like a parasite on steam games that still use it... --- http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/5392/picture002wmc.jpg steamcommunity.com/id/Armatoste/

I purchased the game through Steam when the game first came out. Will I lose my game save, or is that only people that purchased it through GFWL?
I had 90 hours on AC, and as much as I didn't like GFWL, I would have rather continued dealing with it than losing my save. --- CMStormtrooper / SLI GTX 680 / GIG z68 / firstname.lastname@example.org / 8GB RAM / 256GB+128GB Crucial M4s / AW Optx AW2310 120hz for FPS/ U2713HM 1440p IPS for all other games

Wow. Just checked my Steam account and not only do I have my 90 hour save still intact, I have GOTY edition too. I only had Vanilla AC with the challenge map pack DLC that had Penguin's Iceberg Lounge, and now I have everything.
Pretty cool. --- CMStormtrooper / SLI GTX 680 / GIG z68 / email@example.com / 8GB RAM / 256GB+128GB Crucial M4s / AW Optx AW2310 120hz for FPS/ U2713HM 1440p IPS for all other games

launch it from within the game folder with bmlauncher.exe. --- PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy. http://www.steamgamesales.com/

My vanilla AC with all of my saved progress still uses GFWL though, so I suspect that this save file is living on borrowed time.
If so that sucks because I don't want to have to unlock all the challenge maps again Plus I never beat New Game +, and if I have to go through the entire campaign again to unlock it a second time, I probably wont bother.
Oh well, at least I can play that Harley Quinn DLC. --- CMStormtrooper / SLI GTX 680 / GIG z68 / firstname.lastname@example.org / 8GB RAM / 256GB+128GB Crucial M4s / AW Optx AW2310 120hz for FPS/ U2713HM 1440p IPS for all other games

Does the physical copies of Arkham City activate on Steam now? My local shop has a physical copy of Arkham City at a cheap price, was thinking of getting it. --- --------
