Same price. Dell has weaker processor, but the 750m has DDR5 RAM. Acer has a much better processor but video card has DDR3 RAM.

Dell is also 15 inch instead of 17 and has a touch screen, but they're not a big deal for him.

Oh forgot to mention there's a coupon code that makes the Dell the same price.

I'd say go with the Dell. It has twice as much HDD space, and the processor isn't that much weaker. Also from personal experience 17 inch laptops tend to be too big and cumbersome

Quad core won't make any difference than?

Only other problem is I hate Dell.

They're terrible with Drivers. I have a Dell which was a good deal, but their support...................sigh.

But I guess Acer, bought from a reseller instead of direct, could be as bad........Oh well. Thanks.

Definitely the Dell on this one.

Alright, thanks.

(No, Desktops aren't an option, for lots of reasons. Guess 17 is too much.)

Oh I didn't know that Dell's processor was only a dual core with hyperthreading. That might be a problem, someone with more knowledge on CPUs would have to say if it is or not.

I know most games don't use Quad core, but is that going to change?
