Looking for some new 2.1 speakers.

So my current set is rather cheap, rather old and are starting to cut out and fail on me. They're a Logitech S220 set. Nothing amazing but they've got the job done for quite some time. They're starting to show signs of their age though, so the time has come to find a new set.

As the title says, looking for a 2.1 set. Preferably with a headphone jack too, a mic jack would be nice but not essential. Some form of control, whether on the satellites, or a separate desk control is also needed. Other than this, I can't think of much else which is essential/wanted. I'm in the UK, and can spend up to 150 or so, I'm willing to go more if the product is really worth it.

I'm listening to music as well as gaming, and these are just for my PC, no consoles or anything.

I've been looking at Logitech, as their peripheral have served me well thus far. I've looked at both the Z623 and Z523 sets. There's a difference of nearly 75 in price though, and I don't know if the 623 is worth that much more than the 523!

I've also looked at the Corsair SP2500, which is a little above my initial budget. If they're worth it though, I can probably stretch.

Thanks for any recommendations/advice!

A bit higher than your budget, but worth it.

Yeah I could probably stretch to that if it's really worth it. I'd seen these mentioned before but couldn't remember the name, so thanks!

I'll see if anyone else has any recommendations as I'm in no major rush to order them this instant.

Add a sub later. Those will blow the Klipsch out of the water.

That's already looking at 125 minimum, not including a sub though...

Have you heard a solid 2.0 system? The bass is more than adequate. You can add a sub later when you have some available funds if you determine that it isn't up to your standards. 2.1 computer speakers are a trap, especially with your available budget.
