I know I only played total war shogun 2 for about six munites. I installed it, looked at the menu, and then never touched it again. But know its saying I have 2 hours on a game that is currently uninstalled.

Mine's been the opposite - I've occasionally had Steam not count play time even tho I *know* I've played a game.

The only times I've had discrepancies besides this current bug that is easily remedied, are when you launch a game a no overlay pops up indicating there may be an issue and when you quit a game and the launcher or uplay or whatever is still up.

Its just steam using a hook to watch the process. Once that process is ended, the timing stops. Its not some magical voodoo guesstimation.
