Connecting my PC to my home theater system

So I'm looking to hook up my PC to my TV and my receiver for my 5.1 home theater setup. I have an EVGA 480 GTX with a mini-HDMI output so I figured I would do mini-HDMI to the back of my receiver (Denon X2000) for video and for audio what would I do? Do I need to buy a sound card and use an optical cable? Here is a link to the receiver I have. I am trying to keep the 5.1 setup so I can play music/videos off my PC and even play games but still have the 5.1 surround sound effect. *cough BF4*

Here is a link to the receiver I bought:

I just use the gpu's audio. You're using hdmi already, no need to use optical. Works great on my onkyo 5.1 HTS

set up in your windows sound settings to use your gfx card's hdmi port as the default sonud device (instead of from the mobo) and your receiver should do the rest
