you really should be looking at the specs as you buy it
not when you get it

I got to for college and to play decade old rpg's I can't on a ps3 I didn't think having high specs was that big of an issue so I just got a mid range laptop I'm just trying to find out if it can run civ 5. Oh and thanks Derpancake

Just about any modern laptop will handle those at max settings with no problems.

Download the free version of that, run it, and it shows you everything you need to know.

Need to tell someone else what you've got? You can use the "publish snapshot" feature to get a link (which is only good for a week or two) to give to someone so you don't have to type it out.

That being said, Civ 5 can run on a very wide range of systems. It should work on almost anything made in the past 2 years.
