External HDD question

#1dragonballEEEPosted 10/20/2013 10:28:08 PM
I bought a 1 TB Toshiba HDD, and I used it to create a recovery image for my computer...and that worked and is all fine and dandy, but now when I hook it up to my laptop, it's ONLY showing the 32gb, not the 1 TB. Am I missing something? I would presume it's a formatting issue, only I wouldn't know how to correct it.

Does your HDD controller that houses the HDD support 1 TB?

Right click on Computer (or equivalent), click Manage, click Disk Management, and report back on what you see on that specific drive.
