Getting broadband soon. What can I look forward to?

Guys, the 5GB/month is on a Verizon hotspot. That's pretty normal, stop acting so surprised.

I live in Canada where we don't have Verizon...
I've never seen such a POS service in my life.

No one here is sober, are they?

Read the OP better, and start from the beginning, everybody.

You are to expect 3mb/sec download speeds. Torrents, Steam, Youtube videos (if you download Youtube Center). You will benefit from massive speed increases, on anything you plan to do. Whenever you get your internet, it would be a wise thing to do to actually ping your internet to a common site, like i.e. google.com, to determine your actual ping to a server, so you can tell if your ping is great, compared to your internet speed.

latitude is not the same as bandwitdh.

You can upgrade your bandwidth (which is what you did), and hopefully the server you upgraded to is in an area near to your location. That should give you a good ping. That should be amazing.

For example, I just upgraded to a 30MBdown/10MBup connexion about 20 miles away from my location, and my Internet has been a straight-up slaughterhouse.

At this status, your internet will probably be much faster than uploader sites, so the only thing that will be limiting you will be the actual Uploader's upload speed.

Welcome to the desert of reality.

It's mobile broadband, 4G LTE if you're lucky, 3G for most people. It's not meant to be used for gaming or media streaming or downloading big files.

Are you sure HE's the one who needs to get sober? He's talking about mbps and you're talking about MB/s. Please don't give out advice on internet speeds if you can't understand the difference.

Seriously?

Seriously.

I'm going to be moving soon and will have 30Mbps Charter internet.

.......... This IS what he's asking about. Right?

****ing Opening line of the second paragraph.

I was going to insert the obligatory comment on pls lrn2r***, but I rather let you take it all in by yourself, and the irony of you telling me to learn to explain something that you all completely failed to understand in the first place.
