It's only a $30 price difference between a 7950 and a 7970, I'd suggest ponying up for the later.

I should import the hardware because, just for you to take an idea about the prices here, the 7950 3 GB is around $461 USD here, while the $7970 is $654 USD

There is a BIG difference in Price here.

$30 is worth it, $200 is not.

Just get the 7950

But is it a good card? I can buy it but teorethically I can wait and save more for a card. What I donīt want is to ask here in a month if I can run X game and everyone will be like "Lol 7950 is super low end card canīt run Plant vs Zombies 2, sorry but you need to upgrade"

By curiosity, how much are the 7950 and 7970 there?

also any other option for a very decent graphic card?

Thanks in advance to everyone who had stopped by to give advice

The 7970 and 7950 are the 7000 series' lineup top tier single GPU cards.

The R9 cards are the same cards just with new names and shifted down the line. The r9 280x is a 7970, and the 270x is a 7950... unless i'm mistaken.

I personally have a 7970, and I love it.

I was in a situation quite similar to you. I bought a secondhand i5 3570 and GTX 760. Deducting the value of the parts I sold, I made a huge upgrade for under 200 euros.

If I were to buy new, I would go for the 3GB 7970 (or 7950/GTX 760 if that stretches your budget), and an i5 4670k.

Sorry for all the questions but as I said I really want to make a purchase that isnīt outdated in few months and I have to cash another $1,500 like last year
