Ok, so I was randomly playing BC2 earlier when all of the sudden my screen turned white, I saw an error about my Nvidia drivers crashing and recovering, and then, boom, the screen went dead and next thing I know it was rebooting altogether. I was thinkin, gee, that was weird, and then I tried BC2 again, and this time i didn't even get to the options menu. It crashed the second I started the game. I decided to try BF3 instead, same crap. The second I start the game, a crash.

Seeing how it was clearly driver related, i tried doing a clean sweep of my drivers and going back to my 314.22 drivers I used before the BF4 beta. After all, I've been noticing small bugs here and there since upgrading to the 327 ones so I figured going back would fix my problems. Well, i tried that and i basically got a black screen after the windows load screen.

I ended up going into safe mode and doing a system restore, the logic was nuke the problem from orbit and return to a time where my PC worked. I booted it up, it seemed to work for a few seconds, but then i got weird graphical glitches on the screen (strange white squares) and a crash. This time I got a BSOD, code 116. Looking it up, it could be drivers, could be the hardware going funky. I just tried to update to the new drivers via a "clean installation", and I'm now getting the black screen on startup, followed by a BSOD. idk what to do. Is my GPU fubared? What's the problem? It was working fine, I was playing BC2, when all of the sudden, boom, it's like my GPU died or something. if system restore didn't fix it, I dont know what to do besides go back to my HD 5850 =/.

Temps should be fine. It freaks out when not under any stress at all, at this point it doesn't even give me a chance to let it overheat. Not to mention it normally gets like 70 under load, which isnt bad at all.

So I just tried another system restore....

....at least it didn't crash this time, but still...not good. I wonder if the card is dying.

I've been having the 'screen going dead' problem playing WoW twice in the past week, too, although it's very intermittent-- it's never happened in a raid, just while I'm out in the world questing in an area that shouldn't be stressing the system at all. (Both times were in the same zone, so it might be that area triggering it.) I've also not had it happen with any other games, although admittedly I've mostly been playing Terraria and that's not exactly graphically taxing.

I didn't attempt to roll back drivers or anything because it's so intermittent, so I've not seen any of the other issues you're having, though.

I'm using a 650 TI. I had a driver update pop up today, so I'll see if it keeps happening and poke you.
I have a blog! Warcraft and other gamer musings.

Tried BC2, it crashed to desktop, showed that error again from the last screenshot, and crashed.
