World of Warcraft (vanilla-WotLK, dunno about Cata or MoP) Morrowind Neverwinter Nights Neverwinter Nights 2 Heroes of Might and Magic 3 The Sims 2 M&B M&B: Warband Worms Armageddon Pokemon Showdown
I too enjoyed Fallout more than Fallout 2. It's been a long time since I played so I don't remember the details but the world was much more interesting and serious in 1 at least for me. A lot of Fallout 2 was perhaps "wasted" for jokes and such. I need to replay it but I don't think I have the disc anymore... --- pathological

This seems more like "games hipsters like to put on lists" for your top 10.
Half the games on my list are far too popular to even come close to "hipster" territory. Counterstrike and Brood War will never qualify as hipster choices. Or HL2.
And Star Control 2 is one of the best games ever made, for any platform, in any time period. At the risk of sounding exactly like a hipster, you really can't understand until you've played it. Also...unlike hipsters, the fans of this game actually want it to be more popular. Hence they adapted it for modern computers.

Star Control 2 is a indeed an underappreciated game - it's really difficult to categorize, really difficult to describe, probably not at all a landmark title in any particular genre, and a masterpiece that everyone should play. It beats the hell out of Mass Effect for certain.
Well I wouldn't go that far, I really enjoyed Mass Effect. Then again, I'd argue that's partly because Mass Effect (the first one especially) did some pretty blatant ripping-off from Star Control 2, in terms of how the game functions. All they did was substitute FPS/power ground battles for space combat.
The rest wouldn't be anywhere near my top 10, and I don't consider Minecraft to be a game.
Minesweeper, not Minecraft :D not that I suspect you'll like that any better...but it earned an honorary #10 from me because it got me through high school with my sanity intact --- Every day the rest of your life is changed forever.
