External Harddrive and game save question

#1OverburdenedPosted 10/23/2013 1:32:45 PM
I'm looking at getting a 1TB external hard drive. I'd like to know, can I save my sims 3 disk onto it, along with all the add on disks. Then do I just plug it in the USB slot and play it off of that?

Also can I move iTunes and all of its content onto it? And play it off of the hard drive when I need it.

Never play off an external drive but in short, yes to both. I have my itunes playing off my 1TB external (USB).

I use it for backing up everything mainly. (Steam apps folder, pictures, music etc).

Why can't I play off of one?

So it would be pointless in putting all of the sims on to it, if we shouldn't play of of it.

He'll be fine if he is using USB 3.0.
