I am going to pick up a gtx 760 2gb to replace my 460. Is my AMD Phenom II X4 955 ~3.2ghz going to cut it?

Even if it doesn't; you can still benefit from the extra power by bumping GPU related settings like textures and antialiasing.

I played it on medium for everything just fine with my phenom II x4 965

I also have a GTX 460... so most likely you can run everything at medium-high with 30FPS or better.

3rd/4th gen i5's are struggling with the game, no way is a 965 going to handle the game very well

You play multiplayer FPS with 30 FPS.

Everything you say gets ignored.

Err I played the beta on 64 player maps... Some people had issues in the beta with beast rigs but that was because of beta issues... lots of people DIDN'T have issues at all. Logic much?

I'm sorry, the original post asked if his CPU would 'cut it'. It's quite obvious his rig will be able to play the game at an average framerate that is acceptable to a lot of people. I agree with you that if he would like to play the game on high-ultra with 60FPS he should get an upgrade.

That much was obvious.

I have a Phenom II x4 965 with a 6870 and played the beta with med-high settings @1080p no problem, I was getting 30-40 fps.
