Help with a first time build.

#1M0NSTER_Posted 10/24/2013 7:11:10 AM
I am looking to build my first computer, I was wondering if this would be a acceptable to run most current games at highest settings.

The price of all this comes to $1,142.58 (taxes included on a 13% tax rate) This also includes 60 dollars of mail in rebates and shipping with I excluded from that total above. I should also mention all prices are in Canadian dollars.

Could I get some feedback on if this would be a good build for a first time builder. I do have experience with replacing parts within a computer just not building one from scratch.

Looks good except the 660 is a pretty weak video card at this point. I mean, you can get a 7950 for $189.

any more feedback, from my early searches of the 7950, at least in Canada its an extra $100 from what you mentioned.

the 7970 was on sale for $260 after rebates at canada computer or tigerdirect two weeks ago

are you paying more than $100 for the ssd? if you're not dead set on the 840 evo, you'll see some on sale on and off at $80 or $90 every few weeks

ssd is listed for $100 atm, everything besides that is bundled together for a $100 savings.
