I rest on homerow. WASD is not for resting or typing, it's for gaming.

When they identify themselves by their hobby. Wait a second, I think I confused "gamer" with "shallow attention-seeker".

Never mind.

As a gamer, this offends me.

You don't have to JUST identify as a gamer, but if you're a gamer among other things then there's nothing wrong with calling yourself a gamer.

I have been gaming on PC for basically my entire life, play with friends, play with a clan, play almost every night,... SC2, dota2, CSGO, BF3

and my default hand position for my left hand is the homerow asdf, which kind of makes more sense to me.

Aside from it being a silly terminology, calling yourself a gamer is identifying yourself by your hobby. If somebody asked "What do you do for fun" you would say "Video games" or maybe "Thai hookers and premium cocaine".
