The 4770k and 4670k trade blows with the 4960x in most of those benchmarks and beat it in one. Wait until you actually need an upgrade.

since i'm going to overclock, I'm going to need an aftermarket cooler. The reason why I dind't want to put one on is the time it took me the first time, and the fact that it was too big that I could not close my case.

This one look like it will fit in my case. Ima stop at microcenter tomorrow.

will this be good enough for overclocking?

You've already gotten any advice that you needed, there is no need to bump the topic.

You'd be better off getting a dual cpu mobo and running two i5's/i7's simultaneously.

ADD, no. Where is the thread for Fallout OCD players?

I asked a question about a cooling fan. I have a stock fan so I can't OC with that. I stated in my last post that I need a cooler that is small enough to fit in my case and be effective enough to cool an OC'd CPU. Please read the whole thread before posting.

Nowhere did you state what case you had nor what brand cooler you had tried in your earlier failed attempt. If you need a cooler small enough to fit and you actually want help, you either need to provide the pertinent information or you need to get measurements of your components and look these things up yourself.

OMG man can you flippin read? I clearly stated in a few post above that I found a cooler that will fit in my case, I just need to know if it will keep my CPU cool...
