Quick request for anyone with Photoshop/GIMP

I use this icon on a couple of sites:

The problem is, on some websites it shows up with a white background, and on others (IGN), it has a blueish/black background. Is it possible to change the format or something to make the background 100% transparent?

It's already transparent. I think the problem is whatever site your are uploading it to is converting it to a different format, probably JPG. Only PNG and GIF support transparency. For websites that convert it to JPG you should probably add your own background to the image.
