How many of you have gone to Windows 8.1?

I'll be upgrading November 1.

2 weeks is usually the standard to wait out software upgrades. I always wait until any kinks have been worked out before attempting the upgrade to anything. Let the impatient people test drive it first.

Windows 7 has been good to me so far. It's already too internet integrated.

You can turn off everything that uses the internet... Both in 7 and 8. They're optional features.

Still using WinXP on my main computer.

What are your specs?

I'm sticking with Windows 8 for now. It has been smooth sailing. I have been reading user feedback on 8.1, and it sounds like there are a few kinks to work out. I really don't want to experiment with a new OS at this busy time of the year.

Besides, MS is giving us two years to upgrade, like for service packs. No hurry. I'll probably do it during the holidays.

I bought Windows 8 when it was released for $15 after someone posted a topic here on how to get it for that price. But now when I try to manually download the 8.1 upgrade, I get an error message telling me that the product key I'm using is invalid. I don't get a notification, nor does my system auto update to Windows 8.1 either. So that is pretty much the only reason why I am still on Windows 8.0.
