Best thing to use to keep track of how much I spend, how much I make, etc.?

Should I use a notepad, MS Excel(used it once or twice in high school which was 8+ yrs ago) or what? I need to start saving up money because I notice my money from my bank is getting lower each week from my spending. I make about $170-$230 per week depending on how much hours I get.

Excel, definitely.

1 sheet for Income,
1 sheet for investments,
1 sheet for spending,
1 sheet for repayments,
1 Total worth.

It's like a free version of Windows Office.

OpenOffice or LibreOffice are the popular free alternatives. Technically they are the same but LibreOffice is better / more updated.

There's also Office Web Apps and Google Docs.
