Honestly I think Windows 8 is a damn good upgrade now that it has been out for a while.

I understand people who still run 7, but you can't deny that 8 is the better OS. It's just not worth upgrading to if you are still using 7.

I don't understand what's so great about Windows 8, other than faster boot times and a different UI there is nothing significantly different from previous versions of windows. You can't even run windows 8 on a netbook because it's so bloated. Many netbooks offer Ubuntu instead because it's more lighter.

Windows 8 is not light like running a linux distro using the xfce or lxde gui.

Windows 7 is the best!

The people who refuse to upgrade to Windows 8 are the same type of people who refuse to get rid of the US $1 bill.

And that's not a compliment.

Or we tried it and hated it. Had it installed on a laptop and regretted it. Now my current laptop has 7.

...exactly my point. You irrationally hate something because it's "new".

You haven't demonstrated at all why it's functionally better than Win7.

Being "new" doesn't mean it's better either, you realize this, right?

Look at all these W8 fanboys. MS intentionally made every more difficult to get to.
