Will GFWL games still be playable post-shutdown?

Capcom's said they'll do something for their games.

No word on what exactly but they've still got till July of next year to do it so not exactly hurting for time yet.

Oh, cool. Dead Rising 2 is a Capcom game, isn't it? Maybe then I can actually play the game I bought without needing my goddamn parents to make a GFWL account.

If you need your folks to create a GFWL you shouldn't be playing dead rising 2

It's rated M. I'm 17. Do I not have the right to play the game? Sure, I can create a fake account in my father's name or something, yeah. The thing is, WHY?

...Sorry for the unnecessary bump.

OR you can create a profile with your real name and information, but use a fake birthday date. Heck, its not like their system will be able to detect that you are lying. oO

I own games from Capcom, Codemasters, Namco Bandai, Rockstar, Sega (owns rights to Warhammer 40,000 series) and Nordic Games (owns rights to Red Faction series) that utilize MS's devil service. I seriously hope they really think about their customers and take GFWL out completely.

If they don't know how to remove it, they SHOULD contact Digital Extremes/2K Games and Rocksteady Studios/WB Interactive Entertainment for some help.

Great, another Steam fanboy who wants to shove his favorite DRM upon everyone else. Most people had no problems with GFWL whatsoever, the only people I've seen complaining are Steam fanboys because they can't be bother creating another account. At least GFWL lets me install wherever I want without needing to tie my CD keys permanently to an online account.

And it's hilarious you think 2K or Rocksteady did a good job, you have to be deluding yourself. FYI, Bioshock 2 now suffers from numerous DX10 crashes, while lots of people's savegames were erased from Arkham City without warning.

Where in my post am I shoving Steam on everyone else? Please point that out to me because apparently I'm blind. Oh, that's right ... because I DIDN'T! Now am-scray!
