So my computer recently died and i figured i would try my hand at building one myself rather than just buy a Pre-Built. I came up with this http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1U0Hs but i was hoping to get some input on it since i am not all that knowledgeable.

If you really want an optical drive, get one that's usb. Many people find that they would only need an optical drive to just install the OS. Also, don't know about pricing in Canada, but if you can find cheaper RAM, go for that, and maybe save up for a nice 120-128gb SSD as well. --- i5-3570K| MAXIMUS V GENE| ASUS DCUII 670| CORSAIR XMS3 8GB| CORSAIR 350D| INTEL 520 180GB| CORSAIR H110i| CORSAIR AX750

Do you already have OS/monitor/KB/mouse? --- Intel i5 4670K | Corsair 16GB DDR3 | Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB | ASUS 27" 1440p Corsair 480GB SSD | WD 4TB HDD | Fractal Design R4 | Corsair 750MX | Win7Ult 64
This RAM is on sale, and equally good. Otherwise the build looks solid unless you need any of the items I asked about. --- Intel i5 4670K | Corsair 16GB DDR3 | Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB | ASUS 27" 1440p Corsair 480GB SSD | WD 4TB HDD | Fractal Design R4 | Corsair 750MX | Win7Ult 64
