Hardcore Gamers....

#31NfuzedXGamerPosted 10/28/2013 5:35:53 PM
Okay i want to get this out of the way first. A Hardcore gamer isnt someone who is a neckbeard, never works out, no social life works in a office in front of a computer etc. Y'know the cliche romanticized fantasy of a Hardcore gamer. Yes theyre are people like that i happen to know one as well. I consider myself a hardcore gamer yet I work 2 jobs equaling 56-60 hours a week ( yes i still manage to get two days off its pretty nice) Im married (4 years) i do have a social life, not a very active one but one nonetheless. I even dedicate 4 days a week at the fitness center, Eat healthy etc.

Theres so many people i talk to online or off that make fun of gamers or think theyre boring cliche humans but its not true at all. And i absoloutely eye roll when i hear Gaming is bad for you!! from adults yet they watch tv shows that they simply cannot miss every week. If anything gaming uses more brainpower alot more brainpower actually than sitting there melting in front of a episode of duck dynasty or whatever other popular show is on. Were actually intelligent for the most part and not losers with no friends like people think. I ahve a few circle of friends but im not overly social by any means probably cuz i hate the everyday person butt hats besides the fact.

Casual gamers are far more open to new ideas than Hardcore gamers.

I'm a filthy casual then. I play it all from iracing, civilization, starcraft, fallout, all the way to cookie clicker and angry birds. I'm willing to try almost anything... probably won't hold my attention for long if its really casual but I'll try it.

You know GameFAQs has a spellcheck function, right? Assuming English is your first language, you might want to re-phrase/replace that "intelligent" remark. Also, why do you care what people think of gamers, unless you're insecure? I enjoy playing games, I don't spend a great deal of time obsessing over how the public views adherents of one of my hobbies. Personally I'd rather be considered a nerd than some "Don Jon"esque loser obsessed with pumping iron and pornography, but that's me (not implying anything, just stating the polar opposite of the stereotypical "nerd").

Hardcore is Ningishzida.

From The Book of Ning, The Ning Which Doesn't Game Is Not The True Ning.

There's only one requirement:

You must not play CoD.

@Jkatarn- Hey Don Jon was a great Movie!! And i just simply stated a fact that stereotypes are eye roll worthy. And my spellcheck is broken plus i was homeschooled but i graduated top of my class and im not insecure about anything.

Hardcore = Plays RPG, RTS, MMO, and takes FPS games seriously. Enjoys achieving the hardest difficulty, trophies or achievements.

Non Hardcore = Either only knows about COD or Battlefield, or that's all he/she plays.
