Particularly Nice Monitors

#1Thalandor46Posted 10/28/2013 9:41:05 AM
I've decided that my major Black Friday purchase this year is going to be a pair of particularly nice monitors. The details are almost certainly going to come down to the available sales, but I've been been doing some research, and it seems the key features I'm probably going to want to keep an eye out for are IPS and 1440p. Great!

Is there anything else I should be looking for? Any alternative features that would be worth the investment? Anything else I should be aware of before making this daunting commitment? Thanks!

27" IPS monitors are pretty nice. I have the older Dell U2711 which I love. AFAIK the new Dell U2713h model is supposed to be a worthy successor.

Not sure exactly what your budget is, but check out the ASUS PB278Q.

I don't have a specifically set budget per say since sales will almost certainly be a significant factor, but I'd like to shoot for under $1000 total if I can get away with it, so $500 each since I'm getting a pair.
