You really don't need to spend 100 bucks on a bluray burner. I actually bought one, and only used it to install the OS. If you really want one though, just get it, although many people don't have an optical drive in their desktop nowadays. Also, if you live near a Microcenter, they offer the 4670K for $190 as well as $30 (use to be 40) off a motherboard, so more savings. I believe the MSI motherboard I put in, at Microcenter, you can get that board for a little over $100 with the deal.

In that case I may just get a dvd burner. I never actually watch Blu-ray discs on my computer because I have a player for them hooked up to my tv.

I checked the Microcenters' listings that I live closest to, but neither of them have the mobo, just the processor.

Well atleast you have a Microcenter near you. It doesn't matter if they don't have that specific board. Just go there and you can find any board that you like.

The site says they don't have any 1150 mobos available, but even if they do, the nearest store isn't really "close", as much as it is three hours away.

Then my only suggestion is to look around. Newegg has some combo deals. Also, if you want to wait another month, during cyber monday, there's bound to be a ton of deals on computer parts. Also not sure if Microcenter ships to people or not.

I will probably end up waiting, as I still don't have some of those other components, and ordering them all at a discount could save me a good amount. Thank you for all of the suggestions. I really appreciate the help.

No problem. Stick to the build I did up, or close to it. Also, if you do have more money, it wouldn't hurt to get a better GPU.

If I can find one cheaply I will. The stand-in that's there is just a placeholder for a $112 7850 I found on Newegg. If nothing drops to a reasonable price over the holidays then I'll get it.

I like the 770 and am not opposed to a case change (especially if it has more drive bays like that one), but I don't want to skimp on the cooling unit and the HDD I already have. If I do upgrade it I already have something else in mind (mostly just a 7,200 rpm model with similar specs).

If you like the thought of 770, pick up a 4gb version if you think in the future you'd like to go multi monitor
Also microcenter prices are instore only
