Not sure where to post this (Chrome)

I tried all the obvious stuff like restarting, re-installing, etc.

Google Chrome is being really, really slow. If I have more than one tab open, it freezes for 15 seconds while it loads a page. All of my online games are running fine, but browsing the web is absolute hell. Internet Explorer is working fine. Something is wrong with chrome and I'm not sure what.

It's weird. I can navigate around a website like gamefaqs and go to all the different pages, but if I try to go somewhere else like youtube or anywhere then it freezes. Then if I try to go back to gamefaqs, it's slow again.

Bump.

Sometimes the page doesn't load at all and it says it's unresponsive and asks me to "kill" the page.

Specs?

Speed Test results?

Cleared the cache?

No other programs running that use the internet? (port issue, common with some certain programs such as torrent clients and other P2P software, but can also happen with Anti-Virus programs though much less likely)

Cleared Temp File History recently? (both net and Windows)

No extraneous processes running? (is task manager filled with a huge amount of processes)

Reset your router/modem?

One thing I noticed is that when I open Chrome, about 8 chromes pop up in the processes list. I don't know if that's normal. I never looked before.

Definitely not normal. Back up any settings you may want, saved passwords and stuff, and reinstall Chrome. Then if it fails again, try FireFox.

I wouldn't just switch based on one bad glitch, but i'm a FF user and I love it. It's faster than Chrome on my computer, Chrome is slightly slower to start and load some pages. Overall I prefer FF though, love the layout of it.

Normally I would spend time to figure out what the problem is, but I really don't care which browser I'm using. If I was forced to use IE, that would be a different story.
